Experiences

2 years 3 months (Sep 2002 – Dec 2004) as a helper in the Philippines

Dominga worked in a bungalow with 2-bedroom, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a 54-year-old female with disability, and she looked after her welfare. Daily she does general house cleaning chores, do marketing, prepare and cook the daily meals, do laundry and folding.

(Jan 2005 – May 2011)

Stayed home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Hong Kong. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, do marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding, weekly washing and cleaning of the family car, tend to garden and plant watering. She didn't complete the contract due to physical abuse by the employer.

(Sep 2011 – Dec 2011)

Returned home and applied to work in Hong Kong. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, do marketing, prepare and cook for them, laundry, ironing and folding, wash and clean the family car. She didn't complete the contract due to slandering by the co-helper. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to a better helper.

(Feb 2012 – present)

Returns home, looks after her family welfare, managed the family’s piggery business.



Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Hong Kong, she prepared and cooked basic Chinese dishes, such as steam chicken and fish, steam fish with bean curd sauce and soup etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children and/or infant, and looks after her own since birth.



Elderly/ Patient Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her local experience, she prepared her meals, assisted to bathe her and it her movement, accompanied her for outdoor sunshine, relaxation and medical check-ups, attended to and assisted in her needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. In Hong Kong, she groomed and fed four dogs, walked them and kept clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation
