Letter of recommendation for Marilou Busto
This is to recommend Marilou, hoping that it would help her find a new employer.
When we hired Marilou in August , we were looking for someone who could assist us with the household chores in our 3 beds flat + balcony and with the care of two children aged 4. I was returnnig to work on a part time basis.
She is a very kind lady and our kids love her. She is extremely patient with them and she will spend time to play with them, take them to the playground. I have no concern to let her watch them when they go swimming (since they are confident swimmers) as I always have the peace of mind that she will watch them very closely. She always keeps calm with them.
Marilous never takes her phone when working and we never had to ask her to leave her phone aside. She doesn't hang out much with other helpers in the condo. She is very focused on her work. She took English, Nursing and Reflexology classes last year and she is greedy to learn new skills.
We are extremely picky eaters and we fully rely on Marilou to do the grocery shopping and prepare the meals. She learned many French and Italian recipes, (Lasagne, Carbonara pasta, homemade bread, soups, chicken cordon bleu, quiche, apple tarts, crumble, cheesecake, any sort of sophisticated salad, to name a few. ) and Asian and Indian dishes. She can follow a recipe on a book.
She is autonomous in doing the chores. The work is done to our expectations. We found useful to give her a work schedule when she started to work for us and regularly reinforce our expectations and provide work guidance. She always responds positively to our requests.
On top of things, she is extremely reliable. Within 2 years, she never took any sick day. We have just renewed her contract but we have to leave for good(work relocation) in mid October. We hope Marilou could find a nice family. And her service has been exemplary in taking care of my twin girls and in helping my wife maintain our house. She does things independently and is capable of managing things well for a family of four. In the process she has picked up cooking Indian recipes, and is also well versed in baking and other forms of cooking.
